The Way The Truth and The Life

I have been told that the way, truth and life mentioned by our Lord in John 14:6 was a reference to the names of three curtians or veils that seperated the outer court, inner court and the Holy of Holies. I have not found anything in scripture to prove this perhaps it was a cultural reference. Ideas anyone?
