1st Corinthians 15:29 -- baptized for the dead?
NASB 1 Corinthians 15:29 Otherwise, what will those do who are baptized for the dead? If the dead are not raised at all, why then are they baptized for them?
I had been reading on this a little. There appears to be a number of different interepretations of this passage (over 40 academic suggestions). What are some of your thoughts? Specifically the cotext of Chapter 15, the historical context (both Jewish mikvah and pagan immersion rituals) seem to offer some different interpretations.
I would love to hear some solid feedback on this passage :)
Do you want a large practice
Do you want a large practice with a lot of doctors, who might have longer hours than others will? Or do you want to visit a smaller practice, with more individualized care? If they have been referred by people who know you well enough, ask questions to see how their experience with the family doctors they referred matches your expectations.mesa physician

Baptism for the Dead
I came to the conclusion that being baptized for the dead was a sarcastic remark by Sha'ul. The topic was ressurection. He was saying if there is no ressurection, why then are you being immersed for Messiah, or in other words, Messiah would still be dead then, why be immersed for the dead.
My two cents worth
